Lisbon is the largest city of Portugal, as well as its capital and an administrative center. It is located on the western part of the Iberian Peninsula, in the direct neighbourhood of the Atlantic Ocean and the mouth of the Tagus River. It is seen especially in the evenings when most of the people visits the bars and cafes or just going for a walk through the wide, pleasant squares.
Lisbon is situated on the seven hills and it's really worth to see these extend, beautiful panoramic views over the city, ocean and the Tagus River from different viewpoints placed in a various parts of the town. Particularly fabulous is the view from Miradouro Santa Luzia and from the Castle. Owing to rather large distances between the districts (which are 54) the best way to move across the city is by car or metro, but even persons with their own cars should tempt to drive by an antique tram - line 28, which is the most recognized symbol of Lizbon.
Around the Lisbon are located many interesting buildings and monuments - many of them are the part of the Portuguese cultural heritage. The highlisted are famous royal palaces in Sintra and amazing Cabo de Roca.
