Airport in LisbonLisbon, apart from being the largest city and capital of Portugal, is also one of the most visited tourist destinations. Every year large numbers of visitors come to Lisbon for their vacations or for other reasons, such as diplomatic or political issues. And due to that, the country authorities ensured the best and easy connections to this beautiful city, from which the most comfortable one is travel by air.
Lisbon International Airport
The Lisbon International Airport is the most important and busiest airport in the Portugal. It is located 7 km from the city center and provides flights to and from the most countries in the world. On the airport operate two main Portuguese airlines: TAP - Air Portugal and PGA - Portugália Airlines, and several international operators, ensuring the best connection with Lisbon from all points of the world. Every month it realizes about 12 000 flights and serves about 1 000 000 passengers.
The airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 operates the International Departures and International and Domestic Arrivals, while Terminal 2 is designed only for Domestic Departures. From this terminal are realized flights to other parts of Portugal, such as: Oporto, Vila Real, Bragança, Faro, Madeira and Azores.
To the airport it's possible to get by bus (Nr 5, 22, 44, 45, 83), by the Aerobus (Nr 91) which run between Lisbon Airport and the city centre, by taxi, and, but no directly to same airport, by Lisbon Metro (15 minutes by bus from Gare do Oriente or Areeiro Stations).
