The Military Museum of Lisbon (Museu Militar) is consider to be the biggest and the best museum of that field in the whole world. It contains the wide range collection of pistols, guns and swords. The most impressive exhibits are surely the sword of Vasco da Gama and the cannon from the 14th century.

The whole exhibition is placed in a few rooms and divided into thematic groups:

Sala Vasco da Gama - is related to his sea route to India,
Sala das Guerras Peninsulares, which presents the times of Napoleonic invasions,
Sala da Grande Guerra - devoted to the World War I,
Sala de Camoes - where is gathered huge collection of cannons,
Sala Mouzinho de Albuquerque - dedicated to the memory of this great Portugal soldier.
