Parque das Naçoes
The Nation's Park (Parque das Nações) is located in the northeastern part of Lisbon. It's an immense leisure, commercial and residential area. It was designed on the occasion of Expo'98 World Fairs, and after the exhibition it became the public entertainment and cultural space. It was then named as the Nation's Park, although most of the people still call it as an Expo.
The main attractions of the Nation's Park are without a doubt:
Pavillion of the Knowledge (Pavilhao do Conhecimento) - an untypical museum, that presents various phenomenon and knowledge areas using an interactive technology
Oceanarium, which houses an enormous aquarium with about 15000 specimens of over 200 different species.
Opening hours: everyday from 10:00 to 18:00
The Vasco da Gama Tower, from the top of which extends marvelous view over the Lisbon and the Tagus River.
Other facilities on the Park's area are among others: a modern casino, water gardens, numbers of restaurants, bars and cafes, and many more.
