The Interactive Science Museum (Ciencia Viva) was open to the public on July 1999. Its main goal is to promote the scientific and technological culture and knowledge and increase the people interests in that subject.
This museum of science and technology presents this field of knowledge in quite untypical way. Through the interacting with the exhibits, as well as through the simulations and displays, the visitors can easy find out the use of technology in everyday life. It allows to explore many themes by learning and having fun at the same time.
The permanent exhibition is divided into four thematic groups:
Explora - which displays the real nature of various phenomenons, i.ex. of tornado, See, Do, Learn - presented modules let to understand a wide range of everyday scientific phenomena. The Unfinished House - area designed only for children from 3 to 6 years, the goal is to finish the house using available tools, Live Mathematics - a various method and ways to learn Math through play and learn.
